Reading notes from Your Therapy. Source shared by Jonathan Campbell.

In her July 2022 story for Rethink Mental Illness, Becki describes receiving a diagnosis of generalised anxiety disorder while at university. She recalls the strain of adjusting to life away from home, academic pressure and wanting to do everything perfectly.

She discusses the impact of panic attacks and poor sleep, as well as the support she received from family, friends and health professionals. Becki describes finding CBT useful and explains why speaking openly about anxiety matters to her.

This is one person’s account of support and treatment. Different people may need different approaches.
