Depression

Mental health problems can affect the way you think, feel and behave. For some people, these feelings go away naturally without any long-term challenges, but for others, these negative emotions can become worse over time. This can result in a serious mental health condition, such as anxiety or depression, which can have a negative effect on your wellbeing and quality of life. However, mental health conditions are treatable and it’s possible for you to make a full recovery – the most important step is to get help. Get in touch and book an appointment.

Self-Esteem Issues

Having low self-esteem isn't a mental health problem in itself, but they are closely linked. If lots of things affect your self-esteem for a long time, this might lead to mental health problems (for example; depression or anxiety).

Some of the experiences of low self-esteem can be signs of a mental health problem, particularly if they last for a long time or affect your day-to-day life. For example:

  • feeling hopeless or worthless

  • blaming yourself unfairly

  • hating yourself

  • worrying about being unable to do things.

Having a mental health problem can also cause you to have low self-esteem, and it might feel harder to cope or take steps to improve your self-esteem. Get in touch to book an appointment.

Elderly

Aging is a natural process that may present challenges for some individuals and their families. Although many older adults look forward to moving from middle age into their later years, it may be difficult for others to adjust.

All adults may experience health issues and stress as they approach and pass middle age, and the support of a therapist or other mental health professional may help ease the transition.

Children at School

Children, Teens & Young People

Child and adolescent counselling helps children or young people explore any concerns that may be causing problems in their social, emotional or cognitive development. The therapeutic process gives them the opportunity to express difficult or confused feelings in a safe environment with clear boundaries.
Play is a natural medium of communication for children and the use of play and creative techniques facilitates the free expressions of feelings and emotions and helps children build resilience and raise their self-esteem. The relationship with the counsellor is non-directive allowing the child freedom to express him/herself physically, verbally or creatively.
Therapy for teenagers and young people can support individuals with developing their awareness to deal with social situations, relationships both personally and professionally including peer pressure and family, education, sexual health issues. Get in touch to book an appointment.

Adults

Taking the first steps towards engaging in therapy can be a very personal journey. I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist who will ensure to make this journey as safe and comfortable for you as possible. Psychotherapy can help you see your current situation in new light, depth and clarity. It can change old and unhelpful perspectives and feelings about yourself and your life, and ultimately help you make positive changes. It might be the most important journey you’ll ever make.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where any issues can be explored in complete confidentiality. I have made a special effort to furnish our therapy rooms, so they are homely, comfortable and welcoming spaces, as well as working remotely in this difficult period. I believe a good environment contributes to great therapy. Get in touch and book an appointment.
I am very passionate about improving mental health and committed to offering therapy to all individuals regardless of their age, race, culture, disability, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background.

Mr Jonathan Campbell (BA Hons, MSc), BPS, BACP, BAATN.

Integrative counselling is my area of expertise as a licensed and skilled counsellor. My therapy approach combines many components of various therapies, including Person-Centred, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Humanistic Approach, and Mindfulness. No one method can be used to treat a person in every circumstance. Therefore, my perspective is every individual must be considered, and integrative therapy methods must be customised to meet their unique needs and circumstances.
I have over ten years of experience and training as a personal therapist, working with clients ranging in age from seven to seventy, world-wide. I hold Two MSc in Psychology and Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling (Integrative), and I'm presently working towards a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I have worked with people from a variety of sexual backgrounds, non-binary people, asylum seekers, and different cultures. I have worked with children, teenagers, and young adults who needed help with their schooling, personal problems, or who were at risk of social or academic isolation through counselling and mentoring with various agencies.
Additionally, I work with victims of sexual assault, perpetrators of domestic violence, survivors of domestic abuse, and historical and present sexual abuse. In addition, I trained to work with PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and life-altering issues.

Please take that first step and do not suffer alone.
